The pain clinic staff consists entirely of a combination of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Most of the staff members have been working with Dr. Isaacson for many years. The staff members bring a diverse range of nursing experience to the clinic with backgrounds in specialties as varied as operating room, obstetrics, nursing home, medical-surgical, and hospice nursing. The common denominator among all of the pain clinic team members is their compassion and commitment to excellence in delivering patient care.
Mary Loucks is the clinical coordinator for Dr. Isaacson’s pain management practice. Mary is an RN with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Florida State University. She has over 35 years of nursing experience in a wide variety of specialties and has managed Dr. Isaacson’s practice for over 19 years.
Mary is knowledgeable in all aspects of pain management and is readily available to patients, physicians, case managers, and attorneys as a contact person/resource. She oversees the pain clinic nursing staff and the daily operations of the clinic.
Carol Mitnick, ARNP. Born in Syracuse New York, Carol grew up taking care of her dolls, everyone’s pets and her friends. She always wanted to be a Nurse and received her RN degree from Jackson Memorial Hospital school of Nursing and a Master’s of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Virginia Commonwealth University/ Medical College. She is happy to report that she still loves her job.
When not working, Carol has many hobbies including mountain biking, swimming, and Pickle ball. She also loves to read and do embroidery.
Carol is married and has 2 children, both of whom plan on being Nurse Practitioners. Her daughter just graduated from the University at Tampa as BSN. Her son, after proudly serving his county in the Marine Corp is in College in Jacksonville where he also plans to pursue a degree in nursing and later a degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Interestingly, her husband is also a Nurse Practitioner.
Debora Nash, PA-C has a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Notre Dame College, Manchester, New Hampshire. Her BS degree is from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. She has been a Physician Assistant since 2000. She relocated to Southwest Florida in 2005 from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She comes to us with a varied medical experience background in plastic surgery, dermatology, and pain management. In fact, Debora used to be a physician assistant here, and has returned. She is a member of Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
She spends her spare time enjoying all the outdoor activities that the area has to offer. Her favorites are swimming, bicycle riding, and yoga. She also spends a lot of time exercising her dog Louie.
